Happy 2016, you guys!! Can you believe we've made it this far? Ha! I took a quick break from the blog to relax and spend time with family over the holidays but now we're back to the grind! I hope you've been keeping up with me on Instagram and Snapchat @bruntunes.

I'm continually ever so happy and grateful for all the support and love all of you sent my way in 2015 – it was by far the best year for StyleMile (and for me!) ever. From having dinner with Lena Dunham in Hollywood, to going backstage with Meghan Trainor, to being featured in Marie Claire magazine, it's been quite a ride. I'm hoping to only go up from here!

2016 is going to bring big things for me – mine and Pedro's wedding is less than 5 months away! Next month I'm jet-setting to an unknown location with my co-workers at Ignite Social Media. Our Mystery Trip location is only revealed at the airport! :O We all have bets – I'm mostly just hoping for sunshine and tequila.

I'm also attending NYFW for the first time in February (OMG!) so stay tuned for coverage! And in April, I'm heading down to Miami with my besties for my bachelorette party, my 27th birthday, and being overall anxious for our June wedding date – luckily Miami does have plenty of margaritas!

I can't wait to watch this year unfold and I would love to hear from you about your big 2016 plans. Are you sticking to your resolutions? Give me the scoop! Either way, I hope this year brings you just as much joy (and tequila) as it's shaping up to bring me. <3

Estou sempre tão feliz e grata pelo apoio e carinho que recebi em 2015 – foi de longe o melhor ano pro StyleMile. Cheguei a jantar na mesma mesa que Lena Dunham em Hollywood, conheci a Meghan Trainor em Detroit e fui no backstage dela, e também saí na revista Marie Claire. Bom, foi um ano maravilhoso!

Mas 2016 também vai trazer grandes coisas: começando pelo casamento, daqui menos de 5 meses! Ahh! Mês que vem eu viajo para um destino desconhecido com o pessoal do trabalho na Ignite Social Media. Nossa Mystery Trip só é revelada no aeroporto! :O Todo mundo fez aposta – eu só peço sol e tequila.

Eu também irei para NYFW pela primeira vez em fevereiro (OMG!) Fiquem de olho na cobertura! E em abril, eu estou indo para Miami cazamigas pra minha festa de despedida de solteira, meu aniversário de 27 anos, e pra roer unhas na ansiedade do casamento em junho – que bom que em Miami tem margaritas!

Eu mal posso! 2016, vamos lá! Espero que este ano também traga muita alegria, amor, coisas boas (e um pouquinho de tequila) pra vocês também! <3

Fuzzcapades

With the holidays almost here, I noticed that I'm basically pushing the boundaries to feel the most like wearing pajamas without actually having to.

From long sweaters to ugly sweaters to sweating in sweaters (because it's not actually that cold), getting cozy in giant, enormous, fuzzy knits that warm your skin and your heart (plus your butt to boot) is literally the most important way to celebrate the arrival of this mild winter in the Northern hemisphere. Well, that and Netflix and actually chilling.

So come along on this fuzzcapade with me and get ready to fuzz up for yourself, too!

Port: Com as festas de fim de ano quase chegando, a preguiça bate e a vontade de sair por aí de pijama grita.

A solução? Blusas de lã de todos os tipos: casacos compridos, aquelas blusas breguinhas de Natal, e um pouquinho de suor quando eu esquecer de botar algo mais fresquinho por baixo (porque nem ta tão frio assim). Chegar no nível maximo de aconchego pra esquentar o coração (e a bunda) é sem dúvida nenhuma, a melhor maneira de comemorar o chegada deste inverno bobo do hemisfério norte.

Então partiu ficar cheio de coceira com blusa de lã comigo? Vem, é tão gostooooso...

FRINGE FEVER

Fringe is my favorite trend of the year. I love how it can enhance any piece – boots, bags, jackets – by adding a boho flair to them.

It may be a little hard to style because you can run the risk of looking like you're headed to rodeo, BUT when done right, it can really have you saying "get on my level" sartorially to everyone.

I would usually recommend keeping neutral on your other pieces, but as you can tell, I didn't stick to my own rules. :)

I took a bold chance with this look: the fringe, the printed pants, textured bag, colored glasses... But hey, like Lena Dunham/Hannah Horvath says, "magic happens outside your comfort zone." Boom, and now we all have fringe fever.

Port: Amo as franjas como tendência esse ano. Eu adoro como totalmente muda qualquer peça - na bota, bolsa, ou jaqueta - dá um toque boho a mais.

Chega até ser um pouquinho complicado montar, porque você pode correr o risco de parecer que está indo prum rodeio, maaaas fazendo direitinho, fica super chic!

Confesso que fui bem corajosa com este look: misturei as franja, com calça estampada, textura na bolsa, e mais o óculos colorido... Mas gente, como Lena Dunham/Hannah Horvath sempre diz: "a mágica acontece fora de sua zona de conforto."

E pronto! Agora todas piram na febre das franjas.
