Last weekend Dots invited me to come sample some items from their store. I was surprised to find such a variety of pretty things at such bargain prices! These shoes are also quickly scaling to the top of my fave list - I love the pop of red!

Shot these yesterday in the pretty Michigan fall morning light. Things are getting chilly around here. Can't say I mind it much at this point. More time to spend under the covers. :)

So first of all, how lucky am I? One of the most talented photographers I know, Mioara Dragan (who also happens to be an awesome gurlfriend!), offered to do a shoot for StyleMile! 

Because let’s be honest, I was in dire need of some outfit posts. I know I’ve said this before, but it seems every time I feel SO busy for words, it only tends to get worse. Between time spent at work (hello, 70-hour weeks), at the gym, and trying to squeeze in a second to spend with the man, hey, a girl can’t juggle it all.

Well, enough of that! Guess what, guys? StyleMile turned 1 this month, and I turned 24 on Sunday! And I had a beyond wonderful birthday - I am so blessed to have such amazing friends and family. This whole weekend wouldn’t have been the same without them. So I thank you!

I wore this absolutely FABULOUS dress to my birthday party! It is so classy and gorgeous, I kind of felt like Catherine ZJ in Chicago. Ha!

Well, right now I’m on my way to sunny Los Angeles with my lover Sarah Billsfor a week - I will be shooting a commercial for Chrysler there, and I can’t wait! Hard work does pay off, and hell, if sticking my toes in the sand isn’t an awesome reward, I don’t know what is!

FASH DET DINNER

I am so happy to say we are one lucky group of girls in Detroit! This was my first fashion blogger event, sponsored by Fash Det and I must say I was so impressed with the amazing talent and passion that filled the air.

Brittni from With Love From Michigan, me, Leigh Ann from Very Love Leigh and Kyra from Buy Any Means Necessary. 

There is a great blogging community forming in the Metro Detroit area and I feel blessed to be a part of it. We had a lovely dinner at Black Finn in Royal Oak, and finally got to put faces to the outfit posts! :)

Of course everyone looked extremely fashionable and were all open to getting to know each other better. Like the girls from Fash Det, Ines & Erika said, I really hope we get to utilize one another in the future and become great partners in this growing industry.
