Last night Detroit got fancy. Hour Detroit threw the 2015 Best Dressed Fashion Show presented by Somerset Collection and everyone went absolutely all out! The red carpet, delicious cocktails, hors d'oeuvres and company were great, but the highlight of the evening was indeed the fashion show curated by Neiman Marcus of Troy, MI. 

I covered the evening on Snapchat and Instagram @bruntunes (you're following me, right?!) but I have something even more special coming soon! Remus and I scored a ton of great footage and I can't wait to share another StyleMileTV video soon. Stay tuned!

Português: Ontem a chiqueza chegou em Detroit. A revista Hour Detroit realizou a festa e o desfile dos Best Dressed de 2015. Foi demais! O tapete vermelho, drinks maras e a gente bonita estavam ótimas, mas o grande destaque da noite foi, de fato, o desfile das tendências outono/inverno de curadoria da Neiman Marcus de Troy, MI.

For a lot of us fashion enthusiasts, September 15 2013 was circled, starred and impatiently awaited. The Phillip Lim for Target collaboration was to be launched.

So I got my tush to the store at 8am on a Sunday morning to get my hands on the most exciting pieces of clothing/accessories since the Garden of Eden ran out of leaves. 

Okay, maybe that’s too much. But I was very pumped. Lo and behold, I got my hands on a lot of goodies, which I’m sure everyone and their mother are going to be debuting out of their closets in the next few weeks.

But I was also pleasantly surprised with Target’s own collection, which had prices that even ran above Phillip Lim’s. They really seem to be stepping up their style game and I think they could soon be ranked right alongside the other fast fashion places we’re used to - H&M and the like.

FLIRTY BOHO

Good morning! I’ve had a lovely, wonderful, SO needed and relaxing weekend. Spent time with friends, with the man, with some cocktails, and a microphone. Went to karaoke for my friend Lauren’s birthday, where we all got our groove and vocals cords on. 

This super easy to style boho chic dress was the perfect choice. Easy to dress up with the heels, but just as easy to dress down with some flats. And now that summer seems to be coming close to a close, this dress could also be transition with tights and boots for a fall look.
