Taylor Swift 1989 World Tour: Watch Video!

Last weekend I had the pleasure of attending the Taylor Swift 1989 World Tour at Ford Field in Detroit! I have not been a #Swiftie for very long. I kind of just shrugged her off as an artist before the 1989 Album came out. But since it did, I just connected with the songs and Taylor's whole new persona update. Until there I was, purchasing tickets to the most anticipated arena tour of the moment.

Semana passada fui no 1989 World Tour da Taylor Swift no Ford Field em Detroit! Só pra constar, não faz muito tempo que eu me converti a fandom de #Swifties. Na verdade, eu meio que não a levava muito a sério como cantora antes do 1989 sair. Acabei conectando mais com ela e com as músicas desde então. Então, em seguida, lá estava eu na fila onlina pra comprar os ingressos para a turnê mais esperada do momento.

The show itself was a giant spectacle. Lights, camera, action, indeed. Taylor is a pretty amazing performer, albeit everything seemed very calculated and rehearsed. But hey, that's cool, though. We all know what she looks like when she dances "off script."

O show em si foi um espetáculo gigante. Luzes, câmera, ação total! A Taylor sabe montar uma performance incrível, embora tudo parecer bem calculado e ensaiado. Mas isso foi de menos. Porque todo mundo sabe como ela fica quando dança "fora do script."

To be honest, I probably looked like this, too, as I was watching her.

*Certeza que eu dancei assim tb, assistindo o show.*

This is what I ended up wearing to the show: This AMAZING shoulder-padded vintage top from the 80's – hello, can you say appropriate?! – and some high-waisted shorts from H&M to match my girl Tay's usual #casual outfit. I ended up losing the heels, which was a great decision, given that it was a torrential downpour of Katy Perry's tears that evening.

E o que acabei vestindo para o show foi essa blusa vintage MARAAA com ombreiras dos anos 80. Tinha tudo a ver com o tema "1989" e eu montei com esse shorts de cintura alta da H&M pra ficar "igual" os looks #casual da querida Tay. Joguei esse sapato longe antes de sair, e joguei uma sapatilha, o que foi uma decisão ótema, porque choveu muitas lágrimas da Katy Perry/inimigas no fim do show.

FRINGE FEVER

Fringe is my favorite trend of the year. I love how it can enhance any piece – boots, bags, jackets – by adding a boho flair to them.

It may be a little hard to style because you can run the risk of looking like you're headed to rodeo, BUT when done right, it can really have you saying "get on my level" sartorially to everyone.

I would usually recommend keeping neutral on your other pieces, but as you can tell, I didn't stick to my own rules. :)

I took a bold chance with this look: the fringe, the printed pants, textured bag, colored glasses... But hey, like Lena Dunham/Hannah Horvath says, "magic happens outside your comfort zone." Boom, and now we all have fringe fever.

Port: Amo as franjas como tendência esse ano. Eu adoro como totalmente muda qualquer peça - na bota, bolsa, ou jaqueta - dá um toque boho a mais.

Chega até ser um pouquinho complicado montar, porque você pode correr o risco de parecer que está indo prum rodeio, maaaas fazendo direitinho, fica super chic!

Confesso que fui bem corajosa com este look: misturei as franja, com calça estampada, textura na bolsa, e mais o óculos colorido... Mas gente, como Lena Dunham/Hannah Horvath sempre diz: "a mágica acontece fora de sua zona de conforto."

E pronto! Agora todas piram na febre das franjas.

Well-Meshed

Ahhh, the early springtime Michigan heatwave. I love it so. Time to get the old razor old and stretch out them legs in skirts, shorts, rompers, and the occasional culottes.

I love the mix of metallic and mesh – it gives it a vintage futuristic look (like what we thought the future would look like in 2001. Think BSB's "Millenium" album cover). The marble print on this Helmut Lang pink top totally meshed with the marble steps and walls of the Detroit Institute of Arts. Mesh. Get it?

BRB I gotta write more puns.

Port: Ahhh, o comecinho da primavera em Michigan. Amoo! Hora de desenterrar a Gilette do fundo da gaveta e botar as pernas no soooool, mana. Quem não passa frio 7 meses por ano não sabe o amor de voltar a vestir saias, shorts, macaquinhos e até a tal da calça culottes!

Amei o mix do metálico e do colete com furinhos – dá um ar tipo futurista vintage (Pensa na capa do CD "Millenium" dos BSB). O print de mármore na blusinha Helmut Lang ficou demais nos degraus também de mármore do Instituto de Artes de Detroit.
