Haven't you ever just grabbed a vintage fur coat and done an impromptu photoshoot with a professional photographer? No, it's just me? Well, I kind of hope to make it a regular thing. I guess it wasn't impromptu at all, but man, it's good to have a friend who can shoot this well. These shots turned out amazing and I love the mix of the complicated fur and the easy jumpsuit. Well, easy until you have to pee, #amirite?

Overlooking Woodward Avenue at the Grand Circus Building, the lights from The Fox Theater and the hustle and bustle of Detroit - Christmas lights included - this was the perfect backdrop of an evening just before the biggest snowfall Detroit's seen in over 40 years. And the perfect evening to say goodbye to these shoes. The 12 inches of snow laying on the ground now aren't too toe-friendly. 

Port: Alguma vez você já não catou um casaco de pele vintage e fez um shooting super improvisado com um fotógrafo profissional? Não, foi só comigo? Então tá, mas depois dessa, eu queria que virasse corriqueiro. Tudo quem que não ficou nada de improvisada, mas gente, como é bom ter um amigo fotógrafo desse naipe. Ficaram lindas as fotos e eu super amei o mix do casaco de pele meio "complicado" e a facilidade do macacão. Bem, fácil até a hora de fazer xixi, né? kkkkk

Com vista para Woodward Avenue no Grand Circus Building, as luzes do Fox Theater e da agitação de Detroit - ainda com luzinhas de Natal - esse foi o cenário perfeito da véspera da maior nevasca que Detroit viu em mais de 40 anos. E foi o dia perfeito pra dar tchau pra esse salto. O meio-metro de neve lá foram não curtem dedinhos de fora.

StyleMile in Hollywood: Elle Women in TV 2015

Every once in a while, a regular girl gets a chance to wear a proverbial tiara and be in the presence of royalty. In my case, my tiara happened to be these tri-colored Jimmy Choo's and my queen was Lena Dunham. A few weeks ago, I attended the Elle Women in TV dinner in West Hollywood to do social media coverage of the event. My day started with breakfast on the Terrace of the historic Sunset Tower Hotel, followed by hair and makeup done by the Elle Magazine beauty squad. Finally, night fell, the star-studded red carpet got rolled out and that's when the fun began. Highlights of the night? Doing a "which way you going" dance in the bathroom threshold with Sia, sharing Midwest stories with Emily Wickersham and obviously doing a twirl for Maura Tierney after being asked "who are you wearing?" Celebs, they're just like us! 

Fact: Hollywood actresses DO eat, and eat well, noted by the french fries that disappeared from these girls' plates. I never thought I'd see ketchup and couture in the same room, but hey, there's a first time for everything.

Port: De vez em quando, uma garota comum se depara com a chance de vestir uma coroa e tricotar com a realeza. No meu caso, a minha coroa virou um par de Jimmy Choo's e a rainha era a Lena Dunham. Fui convidada ao jantar "Elle Women in TV" em West Hollywood para cobrir o evento nas mídias sociais pelo trabalho. Meu dia começou com o café da manhã no hotel histórico Sunset Tower. Depois, fiquei toda trabalhada no hair & make pelo time de beleza da Revista Elle. Por fim, caiu a noite, desenrolaram o tapete vermelho e foi aí que a começaram os babados. Destaques da noite? Aquela dancinha "opa, to entrando enquanto você ta saindo" na porta do banheiro com a cantora Sia, compartilhar histórias de Michigan e Missouri com a atriz Emily Wickersham e, claro, dar uma voltinha para mostrar o vestido pra Maura Tierney que me perguntou "quem você está vestindo?" Famosas... Gente como a gente!

Fato: Atrizes de Hollywood comem, e comem bem. Eu ali , apenas observando as fritas sumindo dos pratos. A gente pensa que nunca vai ver ketchup e haute-couture no mesmo ambiente, mas há uma primeira vez para tudo, né mermo?

Giggling at the step-and-repeat. "Beautiful! Let's see that dress!" the photogs yelled out at literally everyone. Such a weird/awesome moment.

Happy 2015, you guys! Ready to take on the new year and this winter that's been anything but natural. Look ma, no snow! And it's been HOT, like 40... Haha. #MichiganHumor

But as long as I can show some skin and not turn into an icicle, I'm good. At first I was skeptical of this faux fur statement coat, but paired with some high-waisted skinnies, this 70's vibe gives me no chill. 

No word on whether a lint roller can be considered an accessory yet. Groovy.

E com o "calor," tá dando pra montar looks sem virar picolé. Primeira vez que vi esse casaco de faux fur, eu não tinha certeza se tinha gostado. Mas juntando com uma jeans skinny de cintura alta, dá um ar tão anos 70 que eu amei! Chuchu beleza, galera! kkkkk
