It’s Election Day! And not only is it important to the future of the country we live in, it’s also very dearly important to me. This is my first Presidential Election as an American citizen. Hooray!

For those of you who don’t know, I was born in Brazil and moved to Michigan in the spring of ‘02. Last year, I was naturalized American and now I hold two passports, as well as the right to have a voice in choosing a new leader for both these countries.

It’s a very unique privilege and I always intend to do my best to honor them both. This morning, I completed my duty as an American voter and filled out some bubbles. Such a simple thing with such huge consequences! I can’t wait to find out tonight what’s going to happen during the next four years.

Here we go, ‘Mehricah!

Whoa, there! Two posts in a week, whaaat! I’m happy I got to squeeze another one in this week. I’ve been getting up pretty early to get work done in the morning, because there’s so much to do. I guess this is a plus of being an early bird.

Today is a gorgeous day here in Michigan - high 60’s this morning, probably going to get a lot warmer later today. Such a perfect day to layer on an outfit like this! This white lace top is part of my finds last weekend. It’s so sweet and feminine, I had to break it up with a hint of spikes and leather.

Anyway, if you’re in Michigan, get outside today! Go rake a pile of leaves and jump in it. I may just be doing that later. :)
