I was recently interviewed by StyleShack on inspirations and such, so I wanted to share with you guys! Check out what we talked about and then head to their blog for more awesome blogger spotlights and style tips!

{SS} What inspired you to start the StyleMile?

{BC} I’ve always enjoyed a level of quirkiness and creativity when it comes to style. It’s fascinating how you can say so much with just what you’re wearing. Somewhere between collecting a wardrobe that would put a Hoarders episode to shame, and needing a way to document them, StyleMile was born. I have many different personal side projects but this is definitely my baby – it represents so much of myself, and how I’ve evolved stylistically and as a person.

{SS} Your go-to blog list?

{BC} There are so many inspiring bloggers out there! But my favorites are The Style Student, On The Racks, Atlantic Pacific, Sea of Shoes, The Blonde Salad and Garotas Estúpidas & Blog da Thássia from Brazil.

{SS} In regards to your personal style, do you have a signature accessory?

{BC} My wardrobe is ever changing, however I am known to always be rocking pretty rad kicks. From flats to sneakers to heels, shoes are my favorite staples – and I don’t necessarily have to break the bank every time! I just love that even if you’re having a bad hair day, you spilled tea on your blouse or anything like that, you can always count on a pair of shoes to lift your spirits (and your outfit).

{SS} O que te inspirou a começar o StyleMile?

{BC} Eu sempre usei e abusei da criatividade quando se trata de estilo. Adoro poder me expressar com uma roupa, e amo misturar tendências! Algum lugar entre um guarda-roupa que estava explodindo, e uma vontade de registrar todas essas peças e misturas, nasceu o StyleMile. Eu tenho diversos projetos paralelos, mas esse é meu maior bebê - o blog representa tanto de mim, e como eu tenho evoluído meu estilo e também como pessoa, por quê não?

{SS} Seus blogs favoritos?

{BC} Nossa, são tantos! Mas os meus favoritos são The Style Student, On The Racks, Atlantic Pacific, Sea of Shoes, The Blonde Salad e Garotas Estúpidas & Blog da Thássia do Brasil.

{SS} Em relação ao seu estilo pessoal, você tem um acessório de assinatura?

{BC} Meu guarda-roupa está sempre mudando e se renovando, porém eu sou apaixonadas por sapatos! Desde rasteirinhas, sapatilhas, até os tênis e saltos (claro), eu amo todos e coleciono mesmo. Fico louca quando acho algum par em promoção! Eu adoro que, mesmo se você está tendo um "bad hair day," sujou a blusa (desastrada) ou qualquer outra coisa, sempre dá pra contar com um par de sapatos para te animar e animar o look!

{SS} A few items in your “styleshack” A.K.A closet that you can’t live without?

{BC} 1. A neutral blazer is a staple for every season – especially in Michigan where even summer nights can get chilly.
2. Little black dresses are also a must. From workday to date night, you can easily give a simple LBD an overhaul with the right accessories and duh, some fab shoes.
3. Finally, I can’t ever get enough of jewelry, dainty or statement. When I’m sans-earrings I feel totally naked.

{SS} Alguns itens no seu "styleshack" AKA armário que você não pode viver sem?

{BC} 1. Um blazer neutro - especialmente em Michigan, onde até mesmo as noites de verão pode ficar frio.
2. Os famosos "little black dresses" também são um must. Para um dia de trabalho que acaba num barzinho ou restaurante, é fácil dar um "up" so visual com os acessórios e sapatos certos.
3. Finalmente, não fico sem bijoux, das delicadas as "statement."

{SS} Who inspires your style? Favorite Style Icon?

{BC} How cliché would it be to say Sarah Jessica Parker – or more specifically Carrie Bradshaw? Haha, but seriously, Carrie embodies the essence of dressing for yourself and no one else. She gets away with mixing couture and a tee flawlessly. Questionable choices? In life, maybe (The Russian!). In style, never.

{SS} Quem inspira o seu estilo? Favorita ícone de estilo?

{BC} Seria super clichê falar que eu amo a Sarah Jessica Parker - ou na verdade, a Carrie Bradshaw? Haha, mas sério, Carrie é a encarnação de moda, tendências, riscos e tudo de bom. Escolhas questionávei? Na vida, talvez (The Russian!) Quanto ao seu estilo, nunca. Adoro!

{SS} Style Archetype?

{SS} Currently listening to….

{BC} Lana Del Rey’s new album Ultraviolence on repeat. I saw her live twice this year and she’s a crazy-talented artist, not to mention a great style icon as well.

{SS} Atualmente ouvindo...

{BC} To amando o álbum novo da Lana Del Rey, Ultraviolence. Fui no show dela duas vezes esse ano e além de maravilhosa, adoro o estilo dela também!

{SS} If you could go anywhere in the world tomorrow, where would you go?

{BC}I would wake up, lean out the flower-donned windowsill overlooking the city, and my eyes would focus on The Eiffel Tower. Le sighs…

{SS} Words to live by?

{SS} Se você pudesse ir a qualquer lugar do mundo amanhã, para onde você iria?

{BC} Eu acordaria, olharia pra janela com florzinhas no parapeito, e meus olhos encontrariam a Torre Eiffel ali do lado... #AsMinaSonha, né?
